Open Campus 2026

A whole day of science, music and lab tours — free and open to the entire region. Meet the scientists, step inside the labs, and see what ISTA does, fifteen minutes from Vienna.

About the day

Science, up close and in person.

Once a year, ISTA opens every building on campus to the public. Open Campus is a day for the curious of all ages: watch live experiments, tour the labs that are usually off-limits, talk to the researchers who work there, and let the kids build, break and discover in the hands-on zones.

The programme runs from 10:00 to 18:00 across the whole campus. No ticket is needed beyond free registration, which helps us plan capacity for the most popular lab tours. Most talks are held in German; selected sessions and lab tours are offered in English.
